**Key duties and responsibilities**
As an CAD Technician at RBI, you will be exposed to a wide combination of duties that will allow you to develop your technical skills while gaining the operation perspective of the business. Your core duties will be to assist the engineers in:
- Developing and preparing models and drawings as per company guidelines using 2D and 3D CAD Software (AutoCAD, Inventor & SolidWorks).
- Creating accurate and detailed drawings based on designs supplied by engineers and making modifications to the existing drawings
- Identifying the design changes that are required to resolve corrective actions and to improve products
- Redesign parts and drawings according to mark-ups.
- Translate and convert hand sketches and drawings into CAD.
- Understanding the design requirements and provide technical advice to manufacturing
- Ensure the projects needs are met in a timely and effective manner
**Required competencies**
- Must have at the minimum, the equivalent of the 2nd year of an undergraduate program in Engineering Tech, Technologist or Design/CAD
- Experienced with SolidWorks, Inventor and AutoCAD
- Possess strong fundamental electrical and mechanical design processes, and technical terms
- Must be able to work with previous drawings, layouts, detailed sketches, notes and verbal instructions directed by Engineers
- Must be proficient with MS Word and MS Excel
- Must have strong communication skills and be fluent in English (written and verbal)
- A team player who is able to adapt to different environments
- An overall professional with strong work ethic and sense of pride in workmanship
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
