At Comfort Keepers, we provide uplifting in-home care for seniors and adults who require a helping hand, a supportive companion, and day-to-day assistance in their home. As the Client Care Coordinator, you will work with a network of caring professionals that helps Comfort Keepers deliver one-on-one care that enhances the quality of life of our clients and their families. As a valued member of our Care team, you will assist clients and their families in their home care journey by determining their needs and ensuring they are provided with the care they require, where and when they need it. You will be based out of our Toronto office (Don Mills/Sheppard) with the expectation that you will be out attending events, networking, connecting with potential business partners, meeting with potential and existing clients and families.
**We are currently recruiting for a full-time Business Development Care Coordinator. The schedule for the role is Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm with some flexibility to accommodate event attendance. This is an office position with travel in the community.**
**What will you do?**
- In collaboration with patients and their families, assess their care needs and develop individualized care plans, coordinate, and monitor care plan delivery
- Work in tandem with the scheduling department and front-line staff to ensure client needs are met.
- Identify and resolve potential client issues as they arise.
- Explore business development opportunities and network with referral sources within the community
- Attend promotional and networking events in the community with the goal of increasing brand awareness and knowledge of our services
- Connect with current and potential stakeholder partners to foster positive relationships and communication.
**What must you have?**
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, assessment, and decision-making skills
- A strong sense of empathy, compassion, problem solving and customer service
- Effective time management skills, with the ability to work independently and co-operatively in a busy environment
- A valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle
- Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in the Microsoft office suite
**What would give you the edge?**
- Experience working with diverse patient groups, e.g., multicultural, acquired brain injury (ABI), Parkinsons, geriatrics, dementia, Alzheimer’s, etc.
- Experience working with seniors and understanding and respecting their unique needs.
- Being “tech savvy” and a quick learner with technology
- Customer service and/or intake experience
- History of a successful sales close rate on services to the public
