**Job purpose**

As our controller, you will be responsible for monitoring and improving the financial health of our company. You will work closely with our CEO to develop processes and plan for the future. We are a young company and you will be heavily involved in strategic planning, idea generation, and financial forecasting. We are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial spirit who is excited to be involved in numerous aspects of our company.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Maintain the integrity of our financial processes
- Report the financial performance of the company to management on regular intervals
- Identify opportunities to improve the financial health of the company
- Liaise with stakeholders including banks and investors
- Work closely with our third party accounting team
- Oversight of operational accounting and monthly close process
- Maintain financial forecasting

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 3 years of progressive experience with full-cycle accounting
- CPA designation is preferred
- Experience with QuickBooks Online
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Highly motivated to achieve goals and targets
- Effective time management skills

**Working Conditions**

This is a full time, salaried position. You will work from an office at our facility in Fort Saskatchewan, however, we are open to a hybrid work environment if you wish to maintain some “work from home” hours. This position includes benefits and has lots of room for advancement. Compensation is between $75,000 to $95,000.

**Salary**: $75,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
