**Position Summary**:
Poochykat is seeking a friendly and dependable **Retail Sales Associate** with a genuine love for **dogs and cats**. This role involves helping customers find the right products, keeping our store sparkling clean, and making sure every pet parent who walks in feels supported and welcomed.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Greet and assist customers in a warm, friendly manner
- Provide helpful recommendations on dog and cat food, toys, treats, and accessories
- Operate the register and process transactions with accuracy
- Stock shelves, set up displays, and keep the store clean and organized
- Ensure cleanliness of all areas, including floors, shelves, and customer spaces
- Maintain tidy, well-stocked pet care sections
- Report inventory needs or customer feedback to the manager
- Participate in store events and seasonal promotions as needed

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in retail or customer service preferred
- Comfort and familiarity with handling **dogs and cats**:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Punctual, reliable, and team-oriented
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stay on your feet for extended periods
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Strong knowledge of dog and cat nutrition, behavior, or grooming products
- Prior work experience in a pet store, veterinary office, or animal care facility
- Bilingual abilities are a plus

**Job Types**: Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 4 months

Pay: $17.50-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week
