Operations Support Analyst

The Operations Support Analyst will provide leadership and support in designing and administering the onshore/offshore client referral and quarterly revenue sharing processes for the International Wealth Management (IWM), International Private Banking (IPB), offshore brokerage (IIA), Trust and Institutional Asset Management businesses. They will ensure the timely execution of transfer pricing and vendor invoice payment processing for both Canadian-based and international operations. They will work collaboratively with Finance, IIA, IBP and country business lines, and technology partners to define, document and implement the mentioned operational processes. Their responsibilities will also include participating in and supporting new and ongoing programs and projects initiated by IWM Operations to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency. **Is this role right for you? In this role you will**: - Design, document and implement operational policies and procedures, and related efficiencies, in support of the onshore/offshore client referral and revenue sharing processes - Develop process flows, standard operating procedures, and business cases for operational efficiency/automation initiatives - Be responsible for ongoing operational activities including consolidation/administration and reporting of client referrals, and calculation of the quarterly revenue sharing amounts for the IWM offshore entities/countries in support of the four onshore/offshore business lines - Manage business improvement projects on behalf of IWM transits to help achieve team objectives - Review and process all invoices submitted for payment by the IWM units in a timely and efficient manner to ensure that expense claims have been prepared in accordance with Scotiabank policies, and are supported by appropriate documentation, and have been verified and authorized in accordance with the department’s standard procedures - Manage and improve the overall Transfer pricing (TSA) process for IWM whilst performing quarterly updates to the TSA system by analyzing and inputting data received from IWM transits - Support IWM Business Lines in increasing productivity and achieving team objectives by eliminating roadblocks and providing ad-hoc support - At times, may be required to participate in multiple projects with a broad, international, and domestic scope at any given time **Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We’d love to work with you if you have**: - University degree in Finance, Economics, Technology, or related fields - 1-5 years’ experience in managing business improvement projects with operational, process reengineering, change management and IT components - Knowledge of wealth management, financial and banking products, services, operations, technology, and best practices is an asset - Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required; Power BI and Databases knowledge is desired - Previous experience in re-designing and automating business processes, report automation, documenting procedures, and presenting business requirements is required - Knowledge in cost transfer, planning, wealth and banking products revenue analysis and execution related to the financial industry to identify and document critical milestones and activities is desired - Effective oral and written communication skills required, with a proven ability to present to various groups, at all levels of line management - An expert ability to balance competing or conflicting goals of various departments/stakeholders, requiring a prioritization approach - Strong influencing, negotiation and change management skills are critical to effectively negotiate with team members and management to acquire/maintain support with full consideration and awareness of potential impacts on business needs and outcomes Location(s): Canada : Ontario : Toronto Scotiabank is a leading bank in the Americas.
