Thunder Bay, Canada Anchor Construction Industrial Products Ltd. Full time

For over 50 years Anchor Construction Industrial Products has been one of Western Canada's largest suppliers of construction, industrial and metal building fasteners and a key distributor of power tools, accessories and safety gear. Through our 6 branches we provide the products, product knowledge and service to keep our customers working.

Our Thunder Bay team is looking for a talented person to take on a multi-faceted role in the branch: shipper/receiver - inside sales. The role is primarily in the warehouse house but helping with customers is an every day part of the job.
- Receive and unload all incoming shipments, put away the stock and update our computer system
- Pick and ship all orders accurately and in a timely manner using the best carrier possible
- Maintain the warehouse and showroom ensuring accurate bin locations, clean and organized shelving, proper labeling and a safe work environment
- Manage inventory levels and accuracy, under the direction of the branch manager, by cycle counting, Min/Max adjustments, assortment planning. Make sure aged inventory is highlighted with a plan to sell out and fast moving inventory is well managed to ensure we are always in stock
- Customer service: load customers' orders in their vehicles, greet customers in the showroom, answer the telephone and provide information, take orders, prepare quotes, etc.
- Any other duties required to ensure the smooth running of the branch and excellent service to customers

Skills / Qualifications
- It's a physical job with plenty of lifting, carrying, standing, bending and handling of products weighing up to and in excess of 50 pounds
- Experienced forklift driver
- Strong numeracy including the understanding of Imperial weights, measures and fractions
- Ability to use our computer system
- Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to problem solve, convey product knowledge, and share information internally and externally
- A dependable, hard working team player who shows up and does whatever it takes to get the job done - in busy times and in slow times
- Calm under pressure, able to function in a fast paced environment with shifting priorities
- Previous warehouse experience an asset
- Previous customer service experience an asset
- Previous construction experience an asset
