The Operations Manager (OM) is responsible for the management of the staff, budgets and daily activity of the sales, delivery, reconditioning and service departments in the automotive resale dealership. The incumbent will direct the activities of the employees with an eye to ensuring positive results in deadlines, productivity and profitability levels, and customer service standards. Achievement of a profit, customer satisfaction standard, cost control and service and sales volume targets are required. The OM is highly focused on the reconditioning, service and sales process, inventory management, customer service, strategic marketing and the objectives of the company and sales department.
This position requires an incumbent who possesses the following skills and attributes:

- Automotive dealership management experience with a focus on pre-owned vehicle sales, reconditioning and delivery

**POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Works closely with service, sales and business managers and their respective teams
- Works cooperatively with the Director of Wholesale and Director of Leasing
- The sales, delivery, service the reconditioning departments are all under the umbrella of the OM
- Communicate and cooperate with other dealerships department managers, encouraging teamwork within the dealerships by setting the example
- Prepares monthly and annual forecasts and establish objectives for the departments and submit to supervisor for approval in the required timeframe
- Establish and implement best practices to improve productively and find efficiencies within the sale and fiancé process
- Follow-up on customers satisfaction, handle customer queries and complaints
- Actively participates in management meetings, including marketing strategies
- Ensures all appropriate documentation within the department is complete and accurate
- Maintain expense control and gross averages
- Actively promotes sales and service business
- Ensure all department staff receive feedback and are managed within the parameters of company guidelines
- Provides coaching, training and the necessary resources to support the sales department
- Benchmarks the departmental process through formal methods, detailed analysis and performance measurement reports
- Conducts and is available for daily management walk around for observation and support of the team
- Comply with all dealer policies and procedures.
- Ensure all Health and Safety policies and procedures in accordance with legislation and company polices are strictly adhered to, including safe use of equipment and proper PPE
- Perform duties and responsibilities in accordance with documented procedures set out by the dealership
- Ensure all municipal, provincial and federal legislation as it pertains to the dealership and the job function are strictly adhered to
- Performs other tasks, based on management requirements and instructions
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $55,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
