**Mining Operations Manager**

With a focus on safety and mining fleet performance, the Mining Operations Manager will provide operational leadership to the Toromont teams at the Musselwhite, Voisey’s Bay and Pamour Operations. With a focus on leading safety indicators, ensure that each Toromont branch develops an operational culture of safety and continuous improvement in safety. Ensure that Toromont achieves its financial operational objectives with a focus on technician growth and development, parts loyalty and return on assets. Ensure that each mine site has a focus on fleet performance metrics, which meet the customers’ production targets, product problem management, implementation of technology products and alignment with Caterpillar global account targets.

**In a typical day, YOU will**:

- Health, Safety and Environmental Champion. Staff development, committee meetings, review of SOP’s, environmental reporting, on-boarding Health and Safety presentation
- Review of monthly fleet performance reports, rationalization of invoicing, management of receivables and dispute resolution, CVA contract health if applicable and negotiations, monthly account review, account management and key influencer relationship growth. Newmont V0 project alignment
- Manage, coach and mentor direct reports to achieve site operational metrics (Toromont and customer) along with succession planning and career development plans. Collaborate with Timmins branch, Operations Support and own site teams to best determine go to market strategy for parts and service
- Support equipment and technology transaction via collaboration with Key Account Manager assigned to each site. Develop opportunity targets to ensure a maximized share of wallet on Customer’s Parts and Service spend in collaboration with Product Support Representative. Must ensure 100% customer loyalty on all major component purchases
- Cost per tonne reduction projects with Customer, Toromont and Caterpillar staff including but not limited to FPC, Scale Studies, Site Assesments, etc. Top 5 product problem management (PPM) by site with corrective action plan and monthly PPM call with Toromont technical communicators and Caterpillar
- Plan, budget and manage all site expenses within established parameters to achieve or exceed financial objectives. CVA contract bi-annual review with liability reviews and controls measures in place if applicable. Oversee Parts and labour contracts with annual renewals. Accountable leader for Accounts Receivable for each branch operation

**Must-haves for this role**:

- Completed post-secondary education with a focus in mining or operations management.
- Minimum 5 years operational experience, preferably in a mining operation
- Health, safety and environmental operational experience with an impeccable performance record
- Superior communication, negotiating, analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong leadership, coaching and team building skills
- Self-motivated nd able to adapt to changing and multiple priorities
- Experience planning and organization skills with the ability to manage often competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline drive environment
- Valid Divers License
- Solid business acumen and the ability to oversee financial operations
