**Job Description**:
Allied Universal is seeking** **Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC) Operator - Physical Security** in Canada**.**

Pay Rate: $19.85-$21.95/hour (84 Hours Bi-Weekly)

Reports to: GSOC Team Lead

The Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC) is a critical part of our client’s global security program. The GSOC is responsible for supporting a variety of work streams including physical security, security technology, emergency management, executive protection, security intelligence, and facilities (just to name a few). More importantly, the GSOC ensures that our client’s people and physical assets are supported 24/7/365. We solve problems, protect assets, and get information to where it needs to go, when it needs to get there.

**Job Description**:
The GSOC Operator is responsible for providing primary and secondary security service support by pro-actively monitoring systems and actioning events in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures.

The GSOC Operator functions as a critical lifeline to client personnel and contract security guards. The GSOC Operator receives information, dispatches security personnel, and escalates events as appropriate while ensuring that accurate and detailed reports are completed.

When required, the GSOC Operator will conduct active monitoring via CCTV to support short term security initiatives and events as well as other duties as assigned.

In a regular day, the GSOC Operator will:

- Monitor security systems to identify, investigate, and respond to adverse and irregular events following Standard Operating Procedures (i.e. alarms, access control systems, temperature monitoring systems, intrusion detection systems)
- Escalate incidents and events reported by client personnel and security guards to the appropriate stakeholders (e.g. Facilities Management, Network Operations, Corporate Security, etc.)
- Triage and manage inbound requests to the GSOC from employees, security guards, and other partners or external agencies (e.g. Alarm Monitoring Stations, Law Enforcement, etc.)
- Create and complete accurate and detailed incident reports for incidents that are observed by the GSOC or reported to Security and Protection Services.
- Conduct active monitoring of physical locations and utilize CCTV to conduct virtual security patrols.
- Maintain an accurate and detailed shift report.
- Complete service requests assigned to the GSOC as required.
- Work with a team and team leader to ensure effective communication of events that occurred during shift and any on-going events (i.e. facilities emergencies waiting for action, etc.)
- Complete additional duties as assigned.

**THIS IS A 24/7 POSITION THAT REQUIRES SHIFT WORK AND AN AVERAGE OF 84 HOURS BI-WEEKLY. THE GSOC OPERATOR WILL TYPICALLY WORK A ROTATING SCHEDULE FOLLOWING A PATTERN OF:
SUNDAY MONDAY TUESDAY WEDNESDAY THURSDAY FRIDAY SATURDAY

Depending on the requirements of the client, the GSOC Operator may be required to deviate from this rotation for the purposes of training, attending meetings, and other business needs.

Formal Education, Experience, and Licenses Required:

- College diploma or university degree in Police Foundations/Law and Security/Criminology, Communications or related field, AND/OR 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Must be able to pass any provincially required training or other qualifications for employment
- Must be able to pass and complete employer mandated training (on-line learning modules, in-class training and virtual training as required)
- Must successfully pass a Criminal Record Check, Background Check, and/or obtain security clearances as required by the client and employer

Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience working in one or more of the following environments:
o Commercial or Corporate security environments involving 24/7 monitoring and escalation processes.

o Security/Emergency/Response based dispatch
