Reporting to the Program Manager, Program Advisors support Creative Saskatchewan (the “Agency”) with the implementation and administration of grant programs and initiatives supporting the economic success of Saskatchewan’s interactive digital (gaming and e-learning), music, book publishing, craft and visual arts, and live performing arts sectors. This position will join a team consisting of a Program Coordinator, the Program Manager, and other Program Advisors with a variety of creative industry experience.

Creative Saskatchewan is the Saskatchewan government agency responsible for the economic development and growth of the province’s creative industries. We help creative entrepreneurs trade and export of their creative products.

The Program Advisor must believe in our province’s creative industries and their ability to help contribute to a healthy, diversified Saskatchewan economy. As a member of the Creative Saskatchewan team, Program Advisors work within the policies established by the Board of Directors to ensure effective, accurate and efficient administration of the variety of the Agency’s economic development activities and programs.

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
a) Program Administration
- Assist in administering Creative Saskatchewan’s grant programs intended to support economic growth in Saskatchewan’s creative industries; and
- Tracking of metrics and outcomes of funded projects.

b) Program Development
- Assist in the development of grant program guidelines, evaluations, and reporting requirements; and
- Undertake regular consultation with stakeholders to ensure programs are responsive to opportunities and accessible to applicants.

c) Economic Development Reporting
- Assist with reporting the outcomes of Creative Saskatchewan’s investments and initiatives.

d) Applicant and Client Support
- Respond to applicant and client questions;
- Outreach to potential applicants and stakeholders; and
- Attend public events and deliver presentations as required.

**Strategic Thinking/Problem-solving**: Must be a strategic thinker and creative problem solver with the ability to anticipate upcoming opportunities and challenges, and to determine required outcomes. Must be flexible and adaptable to change.

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:
**Creative Industry Experience**: Must have knowledge and understanding of the sectors supported by Creative Saskatchewan.

**Program Evaluation & Delivery**: Arts administration experience is asset. Experience in developing, delivering, analysis, and evaluation of funding programs preferred. In the absence of experience, enthusiasm to learn is essential.

**Prioritization and Task Management Skills**: Must be able to prioritize a variety of tasks, projects, and timelines, ranging from program development and assessment to research and consultation.
