**ABOUT US**

**PURPOSE OF THE POSITION**

**Reporting to the appropriate site supervisor, the Labourer will be responsible to ensure Aecon Construction Solutions Inc. achieves their general and specific project requirements.**

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Prepare and clean up construction sites
- Move materials and equipment and perform demolition, excavation and compaction activities
- Handle and distribute construction materials (e.g. load and unload vehicles with supplies, equipment and construction materials; move tools, equipment and construction materials to and from work areas; remove rubble and other debris)
- Excavate, backfill and compact subgrade (e.g. move and level earth using shovels and rakes, operate pneumatic tampers)
- Place, consolidate and protect case-in-place concrete or masonry structures (e.g. shovel cement and other materials into cement mixers, mix, pour and spread concrete; use electric and pneumatic vibrators)
- Assemble and dismantle scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades at construction sites

- Must be willing to work in remote job locations

- Able to perform in a fast-paced environment
- Continuously changing work tasks
- Ability to work a significant number of hours throughout the day
- Ability to lift and work with materials weighing up to 25kg
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and environments

5/2 shift

**Salary**: $22.58-$30.40 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Edmonton, AB T5Y 6K2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- civil labouring: 1 year (preferred)
