- Under the direction of the Senior Director, Litigation, Litigation Counsel represents the interests of Beneva, primarily in litigation files in property and casualty insurance.- Summary of Role & Responsibilities:- Handle litigation files and provide legal opinions in the fields of property and casualty insurance
- Represent the interests of Beneva and/or its insureds in the courts and before administrative tribunals
- Perform other related duties as requested by the Director, Litigation- Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:- Autonomy in all stages of litigation
- Analytical, organizational, time and priority management skills, thoroughness, patience, and team spirit
- Insurance litigation experience, preferably defense- Education and Experience:- Member in good standing of the Ontario Bar
- 7+ years of relevant insurance defense experience
