**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**The Assistant Branch Manager (ABM) provides clients with exceptional customer service. This role is responsible for managing, motivating, and mentoring part-time and full-time staff. The ABM will offer a range of services and products to clients to meet their foreign exchange needs. They are responsible for the operation and success of their branch and are incredibly important in developing lasting relationships between Continental Currency Exchange and it's clients.**

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Provide prompt and courteous service to clients in person and by phone
- Handle cash transactions, certified cheques and drafts, as well as wire transfers.
- Responsible for inventory management, wholesale orders, monitoring ROI, and maximizing profits
- Cross-sell financial products and services, and make referrals as appropriate
- Ensure all staff are trained and aware of new policies and procedures
- Update and maintain accurate client account records
- Support marketing campaigns and social media initiatives
- Opening and closing of the branch
- Meet quality assurance requirements and other key performance metrics

**QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS**
- Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Accounting, Finance, or work experience equivalent
- 1 year+ of management or assistant management experience ideally in a retail environment
- 2 years cash handling experience minimum
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated record of developing, motivating, and mentoring staff
- Excellent listening skills and the ability to ask probing questions, understand concerns, and overcome objections
- Superior customer service skills and ability to build relationship with clients
- Proficiency with numerical calculations
- Intermediate computer skills - Word, Excel, Fx software
