The expected compensation for this position is $19-20 per hour, considering factors like experience, skills, and qualifications. Base pay is just one component of our overall Total Rewards offering. **Why We Need you**:
Our **Surrey clinic **is looking for someone like you to bring your exceptional skills and experience with you and join us as our newest full-time **Optical Associate**.

You will play a critical role within FYidoctors and are crucial to our success by delivering world-class service to our patients. As our newest **Optical Associate** you'll often be the first point of contact with the public, so you must bring with you your passion for people and your drive to deliver an exceptional customer experience. With your help, we'll continue to have a positive impact on our current patients' health and well-being, as well as the patients we haven't yet met.

This position is a full-time, permanent role working 30-40 hours per week. The clinic is open Monday to Saturday with later hours on Tuesday and Thursday. Open availability to accommodate all shifts is required.

**What Will You Be Doing?**
- Educating clients about the best eyewear choices for their lifestyle, ensuring they receive the best in value and quality
- Informing patients about advances in corrective eyewear solutions as well as assisting with the selection of frames to suit your client's aesthetic and performance needs
- Interpreting optical prescriptions as written by an optometrist
- Performing frame and facial measurements to ensure correct fit and positioning of new eyewear and performing repairs and adjustments to returning patients'
- Placing Contact Lens orders and assisting with fittings
- Billing the patient, their medical service provider and other third parties
- Managing appointment bookings, prescription printouts and billing and payments
- Warmly greeting patients as they enter our clinic
- Upholding excellent customer service standards using your charisma and problem-solving skills
- Minimum of one year of optical experience selling, adjust, repairing and dispensing eyewear
- Experience in training patients to wear contact lenses is ideal but not essential
- Passionate about customer experience; a great communicator who can provide exceptional patient care
- Committed to excelling as a member of a high performing team
- A high level of comfort using technology and computers with solid proficiency in MS Office Suite
- A professional, approachable manner and a love of meeting and interacting with people
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
