**OWNER/OPERATOR - TRURO, NS**

**SCHEDULE**: As assigned

**OVERALL PURPOSE**:
To participate in the safe, accurate and timely processing of deliveries to meet CANPAR EXPRESS on-time performance standards.

**Revenue/Pay**:The posted route revenue (pay) is estimated based on the average number of deliveries/pieces and other billable items.

**MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Must have or be willing to obtain vehicle that meets Company requirements
- Delivery and Pick-Up of Freight/Packages
- Make all reasonable efforts to meet established delivery times
- Perform safety checks on truck before each use
- Ensure proper maintenance of truck
- Operate truck/van as required
- Scanner usage
- Customer service
- Be able to lift heavy packages/freight as required
- Other duties as assigned and as detailed within the CBA & business agreement

**POSITION REQUIREMENTS**:

- High School education
- Valid provincial driver’s license
- Must have a clean driver’s abstract
- Must own or be willing to obtain own 16FT cube vehicle
- Must be able to perform repetitive tasks (getting in and out of truck/van, lifting/delivering packages/freight by hand and/or with use of hand cart
- Flexible to work routes assigned

**Salary**: $81,853.20-$95,000.00 per year
