What you’ll do: *
As a Production Planner you will create, modify and manage production schedules. You will monitor inventory levels, provide production status updates to senior management and facilitate timely delivery to our customers on time and on budget.
**Responsibilities**:
- Evaluate Purchase orders and/or sales orders to create suitable production schedules
- Ensure Contract Manufacturers production Schedule are optimized
- Review Open Order Report and owning the action items to keep dates on track
- Estimate the amount of material, equipment and labour required for inhouse production
- Promptly address and resolve production issues to minimize delays
- Promptly inform relevant parties of changes to current production schedule
- Recommend solutions to reduce production costs and improve production processes and quality
- Ensure production deadlines are met, and communicate to stakeholder when changes occur
- Keep customers informed customers of lead times and changes to delivery dates
- Coordinate purchasing activities to support production schedules
**Skills**:
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, engineering or business management
- CPIM or other relevant certification is an asset
- Previous experience in an electronic manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft
- Knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) and related software
- Proven attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
