**Summary**:
The position covers various aspects of line haul and delivery dispatching including communicating with drivers, customers, DC’s, plants, and external suppliers. You will work with a mix of 20+ carriers and Independent Contractors, majority hauling our trailers. This position reports to the Transportation Manager.

**Summary**:Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday from 8:00am to 4:30pm and Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm (Flexibility Required)

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Coordinating the movements of finished goods and returnable packaging between plants, DC’s, suppliers and other sites. Main focus of service area, but not limited to, is inbound to & intra Ontario.
- Prompt dispatch and monitoring of drivers; proactively addressing and communicating to key stakeholders any issue that may arise.
- Update various files and systems including TMS (E2Open), ELM
- Address trailer mechanical issues as they arise
- Assist with the fleet lead for on time completion of trailer (200+ assets) preventative maintenance (PM) and annual safety program
- Flag and resolve any GPS trailer issues
- Complete daily yard check
- Resolve any customer invoice (POD’s) discrepancies
- When required, support with line haul and delivery planning

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- At least 2 years of experience as Logistics Coordinator / Dispatcher in a fast paced Transportation / Freight Forwarding environment
- Hands-on experience with Transportation Management System (TMS) is beneficial (i.e. E2OpenTMS)
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Professional phone etiquette and customer service skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Must be punctual and flexible to work all shifts, including: days, nights, weekends and weekdays.
- Microsoft Office Proficiency (Word, Outlook & Excel)
