**Job Description**:

Reporting to the Director, Energy Efficiency and Conservations (EEC) the Analyst is responsible for uploading carbon reporting and self-certification process for Island Health. Managing contracts and invoicing related to BC Hydro, Fortis BC and other funding agencies. The Analyst provides financial and administrative support for the Energy Efficiency & Conservation team by preparing and reconciling complex cost and statistical date for energy projects, performing duties such as preparing budget documentation, reviewing contractor invoices and claims, calculating project charges, analyzing financial statistics and maintaining related records.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education, Training And Experience**:
A level of education, training and experience equivalent to a certificate in a related discipline such as Carbon and Energy Leadership or Business Administration plus 3 years' experience specializing in greenhouse gas emission reporting and / or energy management administration.
**Skills And Abilities**:
- Knowledge of building systems, BC Hydro Power Smart Program, FortisBC Energy Efficiency and
- Conservation Program and Carbon Neutral Government
- Comprehensive knowledge of greenhouse gas reporting methodology and self-certification process.
- Thorough working knowledge of British Columbia governments SmartTool greenhouse gas reporting software or similar program.
- Familiarity and knowledge of Energy Management software tools such as PUMA and Pulse.
- Familiarity and knowledge of energy sources as well as energy efficient technologies.
- Thorough understanding of the capital process and experience with capital and energy projects.
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience in contract management.
- Thorough understanding of available resources for projects and applicable stakeholder groups.
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to ensure information is communicated appropriately.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the VIHA Energy Management/Sustainability Team, FMO Managers, and other key VIHA departments.
