Canuel Caterers is a multi unit company operating food and beverage service in school cafes in the Lower Mainland and the Interior of British Columbia, in addition to multiple corporate accounts. Supported by strong management, sales and operational team, we offer a variety of styles of breakfast, lunch and dinner service in these facilities including catering, and meal programs for schools and seniors.

We are currently hiring for one of our Corporate cafes located in Coquitlam, BC. Ice Water Cafe, located in the Poirier Sports and Leisure Centre operates Monday to Sunday from 8am-9pm with extended hours during special events. Canuel Caterers also serves the 2000 seat arena located in the sports centre on special events. Catering experience is a must as we provide catering to the city, school district and local businesses out of the cafe. Applicant would be responsible to oversee the daily food and beverage operations of the cafe, regulate ordering, food cost, and inventory, prepare and oversee all catering orders, train and work with cooks and staff to ensure quality food preparation to our highest standards.

Applicants must have flexible availability Monday to Sunday.

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee all aspects of the kitchen and food preparation
- Prepare menu items, ensuring variety and quality
- Experience in preparing catering menu items
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Train and supervise kitchen staff
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Monitor food costs and implement cost-saving measures

**Experience**:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and culinary trends
- Proven experience in management or supervisory role
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills

**Requirements**:

- Valid Food Safe Certificate
- Valid Drivers License

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
