**Overview**:
The Inventory Handling Team Lead is responsible for ensuring necessary material for production is available and organized. The lead h and manages the work of the Inventory Handling team to ensure efficiency and adherence to standard operating procedures. Additionally, they are responsible for receiving, verifying, and documenting arriving shipments and completing inventory adjustments as well as the creation of documentation relating to Router Table Shipments (within Canada, North America, and internationally. The lead hand will ensure that aftermarket parts are picked, packed, and shipped out promptly. The lead hand will work with AXYZ freight forwarder and trucking companies to schedule trucks/container shipments and coordinate with Sales Administrators to provide updates on shipments.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Coordinates activity of, and provides support to, Inventory Handling team in mfg. cage, CNC Shop cage, and Annex cage.
- Acts as a working lead hand.
- Creates and maintains strong partnerships with key suppliers.
- Ensures logistics initiatives are cost-effective.
- Ensures on-time picking and shipping of aftermarket parts to customers.
- Maintains awareness of table deadlines to ensure materials required are available.
- Advises Operations Manager and makes any necessary adjustments as needed.
- Takes responsibility for materials, manpower, and ability to meet deadlines by effectively communicating and collaborating.
- Oversees and coordinates completion of all inventory handling tasks.
- Supports and facilitates inter-departmental cross-training initiatives.
- Creates and maintains standard operating procedures (SOP) for areas of responsibility.
- Motivates team positively and professionally.
- Properly documents all quality concerns takes responsibility for and addresses areas of non-conformance.
- Communicates action plan, and targets to be achieved, and review any concerns with team members daily.
- Ensures all labor entries are accurately entered into Visual Mfg. Reviews process for entries with team members as required.
- Ensures team compliance with AXYZ policies and procedures.
- Ensures a safe working environment is maintained.
- Responsible for generating documentation relating to outgoing shipments for Router Systems and associated parts and upgrades (Canada, North America, and International)
- Works with Sales and freight forwarders/trucking companies to schedule outgoing shipments.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**:
- Experience with cross-border and international shipment paperwork is required.
- Experience in Visual and Sage required. (ERP Systems) EPICOR is preferable.
- Supply chain management experience is required.
- Experience in a supervisory position is an asset.
- Forklift certification is considered an asset.
- Able to manage time and prioritize tasks.
- Strong organizational skills
- Attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
