We are growing and with 100+ team members we are seeking an Administrative Service Workers - Patient Flow Support to optimize the movement of patients through the cardiology clinic to ensure timely and efficient care delivery. This position will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including Reception, Booking and Patient Flow to ensure the best patient experience out of any other medical clinic in Canada.
**Responsibilities**:
- Ensure smooth clinic day for assigned physicians to prevent patient delays and build positive relationships
- Transport patients from waiting areas to examination rooms
- Educate patients regarding preparation for tests and procedures based on training received
- Perform electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG), blood pressure and vitals accurately and document results into patient charts using EMR system
- Co-ordinates ad hoc testing requested by the physicians
- Maintain cleanliness and stock in patient examination rooms and flow baskets
- Provide ongoing patient feedback to ensure a positive experience including information about clinic procedures and policies
- Co-ordinates ad hoc testing requested by the physicians
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and standards to promote patent safety satisfaction, and continuity of care
- Perform other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**:
- High school diploma, post-secondary education in medical office administration, and preferably 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting in a cardiology clinic or similar environment
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, EPIC and - electronic medical record (EMR) ie. Cerebrum
- Interest in healthcare and keen to perform ECG, blood pressure reading and cardiology vitals
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Compassionate and patient centered approach
- Knowledge of patient confidentiality guidelines
