We are growing rapidly and we’re looking for someone who shares this vision and wants to grow with us **WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR** We are seeking an Associate level Microbiology Technician who has experience working in a regulated Lab environment. You will make sure that the Lab is tidy and that the Lab instruments are calibrated. You will prepare media. must have strong documentation This position is located in our Head Office in **Toronto.** **WHAT YOU’D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE** - Follow internal standard operating procedures and participate in lab team meetings - Prepare media, reagent, and solution based on USP, EP, BP and/or internal procedure. - Quality control checks on in-house prepared and commercially prepared media - Growth promotion testing, sterility checks, pH check. - Cleaning of lab ware and decontamination waste - Perform preventative maintenance for microbiology lab - Manage inventory needs for laboratory materials and supplies. - Required to handle different types of instrumentation/equipment such as pH meter, water activity meter, autoclave, Masterclave, dilumat, automated plate pourer, balance, biosafety cabinet, etc. - Adhere to appropriate quality measures to meet or exceed the standards set by GMP/GLP and company requirements relevant to assigned duties. - Maintaining a neat and accurate record system of work performed on a daily basis and as needed for quality control tests or regulatory purposes. - Identify and communicate non-conformances to the Manager. **SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE** - Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or equivalent - 1-2 years of Microbiology Laboratory experience. - Experience in LIMS an asst. - Open to work on Weekends and extra shifts - GMP/GLP trained and aseptic technique qualifications are an asset. **WHAT YOU’LL BE GAINING BY JOINING OUR TEAM** There’s a lot of good stuff that comes along with being a DECIEM team member.
