We will require you to share with us your portfolio of 3D animation work, ideally with a showreel breakdown. **Responsibilities** - Develop, maintain, and create high-quality animation for real-time 3D game assets. This includes anything from short loops and locomotion cycles to full-blown cinematics with camera and character/creature animation. - Create visually striking and exciting looking animations for in-game characters in Unity engine - Develop excellent visual frames and strong poses that represent the characters and serve the game's design goals - Collaborate with art, design, and engineering teams to help refine the animation pipeline and workflows - Partner closely with Art Direction to uphold the artistic style and ensure a unified look of animations across the game - R&D new techniques and best practices to implement into the production pipeline - Give feedback & mentor animators (both in-house and outsource as needed). **Requirements**: - A minimum of 5 years of experience animating characters using Maya or an equivalent 3D program. - Exceptional skill in 3D character animation, animating bipedal, humanoid figures as well as other organic forms. - Strong understanding of traditional animation principles and how they can be used to establish character personality and enhance overall gameplay. - Experience utilizing Unity game engine - Proven track record on at least one shipped title - Orthographic game camera experience - BONUS: Experience with developing games for children - BONUS: Is a parent or engages frequently with children **Benefits** - Remote first with flexible leave policy - Building from scratch with high level of autonomy - Supportive and empowering culture - Company and leadership offsites in cool locations around the world - Training and personal development as needed - Healthcare benefits
