**Finance and Accounting Manager**

FSI is looking for a Finance and Accounting Manager to control the overall financial operations of the company.

Reporting directly to the President, the Financial Manager plays a pivotal role in managing all accounting, financial reporting, and treasury activities. The Financial Manager is responsible for complete, accurate, and timely recording of company transactions to provide stakeholders with an evergreen understanding of the organization's financial health. The Financial Manager will provide the President with financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and preparation of financial reports. They will be responsible for establishing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures. The Financial Manager possesses an entrepreneurial spirit and should be energized working in an environment where initiative, personal accountability and honesty are treated with the utmost importance - their role includes a wide array of responsibilities that will see them involved in supporting all aspects of the company's operations - sales, purchasing, inventory management, contract analysis, payroll activities, tax, banking, audit and more. As a crucial member of a highly empowered team, the Financial Manager has excellent interpersonal skills and is accountable to working independently as well as in a group when required.

**Highlights of Duties and Responsibilities**
- Full corporate treasury accountability encompassing daily cash monitoring and management, foreign exchange management, disbursement approval, quarterly and annual bank reporting, cash flow modeling and projections.
- Corporate accounting responsibility including preparation of monthly journal entries as required, monthly balance sheet reconciliations, and fixed asset accounting.
- Management accounting responsibilities including monthly gross margin reviews, profit and loss statement preparation and presentation, monthly spending reviews versus budget and prior periods.
- Manage all aspects of external audit relationships including provision of all required statements and schedules.
- Management and review of inventory in the Company’s ERP system including monthly reports and co-ordination of book to physical verification processes.
- Management of all taxation matters of the Company including review of monthly tax returns, monitoring of taxation functionality of the Company’s ERP system, maintenance of CRA and provincial tax accounts, review of annual tax returns and deferred tax proofs.
- Management and review of payroll functionality of the Company’s ERP system including management of CRA payroll account and annual T4 preparation.
- Supervision of one direct report who is responsible for Accounts Payable and preparation of disbursements.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
- Completion or near completion of an accounting degree, with preference given to CA and CPA designations
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a senior accounting role
- Strong business acumen and exceptional communication skills, both written and oral
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Business Central 365 is considered an asset.
- Detail oriented with an ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

**Salary**: $90,000.00-$115,000.00 per year
