Hydrovac Driver/Operator/Helpers will be responsible for the safe and successful completion of hydro excavation work assigned, as well as various support work connected to excavation.

Starting rate: Driver/Operator rate $42.75, Helper rate $38.48. In addition, 10% vacation/holiday pay, $10.44/hr pension contributions and participation in the union benefit plan which includes health, dental, vision, life insurance, etc. Uniforms and PPE provided.

**Requirements**:

- DZ license is required for Hydrovac Operator, G license is sufficient for Hydrovac Helpers; a clean driver’s abstract must be maintained.
- Previous experience in hydro excavation. Will consider other experience in the construction industry working around utilities, site preparation and restoration.
- Experience in Subsurface Utility Engineering (Hydrovac support with Coring, U-fill trucks, Stone Slingers and permanent restoration) is an asset
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot issues and equipment, including preventative maintenance.
- Driving experience in all weather and road conditions.
- Ability to read and understand all road signage.
- Good reading, verbal and written English skills.
- Safety oriented, proactive and positive approach in the workplace.
- Self-motivated, collaborative and able to work harmoniously within a team environment.

**Working Conditions**
- Open availability Monday to Friday, with periodic weekends. Short notice work and overtime as required.
- Safety equipment will be required such as, but not limited to: hard hat, safety boots, safety glasses, face mask/respirators, fall protection.
- Able to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 60 pounds), working at heights, in confined spaces
- Work environment: outdoors, public areas, construction sites or similar. Exposure to all seasonal weather, work areas that are dirty, dusty, wet and noisy.
- LiUNA local 183 member in good standing, or will be required to become a member.
