**Job Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Develop individualized lesson plans tailored to each student's learning style and academic requirements.
- Utilize effective teaching strategies to engage students and enhance their understanding of complex concepts.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly to ensure comprehension and retention of material.
- Create a supportive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes student confidence and motivation.
- Maintain open communication with parents or guardians regarding student progress and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to align tutoring sessions with classroom curriculum and objectives.

**Requirements**:

- Familiarity with BC Curriculum is an asset.
- Familiarity with special education practices is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with children and foster a positive learning environment.
- Proficiency in using computerized tools for educational purposes is beneficial.
- A commitment to educating students with diverse learning needs and backgrounds.
- Patience, creativity, and adaptability in teaching methods to meet individual student needs.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week

- Teaching/Tutoring: 2 years (required)

- English, Punjabi, Hindi (preferred)
