Production Manager

**Job Title**:Production Manager & Estimator

**Reports to**: President

**Job Summary**: The Production Manager will oversee all aspects of roofing project operations, from business development to project execution, team management, and quality assurance. This role ensures that projects are planned, staffed, and executed efficiently, on time, and within budget while upholding safety standards and client satisfaction. The Production Manager will lead project scheduling, resource allocation, and daily operations while providing mentorship to field teams and driving continuous improvement across all areas of the business.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Business Development**:

- Leverage your existing network or actively build a portfolio of loyal, returning clients.
- Identify and pursue new leads to expand the customer base and drive growth.

**2. Project Scheduling & Planning**:

- Take full control of day-to-day project operations to ensure a smooth workday.
- Plan and oversee roofing projects from start to finish.
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure job scopes, budgets, and timelines are clearly defined.
- Allocate resources efficiently, ensuring materials and labor are available for all projects.
- Review purchase orders

**3. Team Management & Mentorship**: Your team will consist of Foremen, their crews, Service Call foreman whom you will be responsible for. You will also oversee subcontractors to ensure project efficiency and quality.
- Take full ownership of the team, ensuring their performance, development, and overall effectiveness.
- Supervise and provide leadership to Foremen, their teams, and the Junior Production Manager.
- Responsible for hiring, onboarding, and conducting performance reviews of direct reports.
- Manage drivers and plan their daily tasks.
- Address any site or personnel issues promptly.
- Ensure adherence to best practices and safety protocols.

**4. Client & Stakeholder Communication**:

- Maintain clear, consistent communication with clients and office staff throughout the bidding and project processes.
- Provide project updates and support decision-making by offering thorough, accurate details.

**5. Quality Control**:

- Inspect job sites regularly to ensure high-quality work and adherence to specifications
- Conduct final walkthroughs
- Address any customer concerns or issues that arise during the project.

**6. Cost Control & Efficiency**:

- Monitor project costs and productivity to ensure jobs remain within budget.
- Implement processes to improve efficiency and reduce material waste and labor time.

**7. Safety Compliance**:

- Enforce safety policies and OSHA compliance on all job sites.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure workers have proper PPE.
- Investigate and report any job site incidents.

**8. Equipment & Inventory Management**:

- Oversee shop and yard organization and delegate tasks to drivers
- Ensure shop machinery and equipment are in good operating condition.

**9. Reporting & Documentation**:

- Provide regular updates to upper management regarding job progress, costs, and any issues.
- Foster positive relationships with co-workers, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.

**12. Oversight**:
Your direct report are:

- Drivers
- Field workers and subcontractors

**Salary is commensurate with experience + benefits**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
