We're looking for an exceptional team player to help us drive our organization to achieve training excellence and maintain a safe and environmental-friendly workplace for our associates. **Job Summary**: The Environmental, Safety & Training Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and administration of Musashi’s environmental, safety and training programs within the Human Resources department to meet objectives, internal controls and regulatory compliance. Achieves departmental goals. **Reports to**: Senior Manager, Human Resources **Qualifications**: - Diploma/degree with a focus in Human Resources, Safety, Business or a related field. - Minimum of 3 years experience of progressive human resources and safety-related experience in a fast-paced and high-volume environment. - Must be able to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion, tact and diplomacy in handling sensitive information. - Knowledgeable in workers' compensation and safety programs and regulations. - Able to work effectively with internal and external parties. - Proficient computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Musashi Expectations **Company Standards**: - Uphold company policies. - Be a champion of Musashi Philosophy. - Follow all safety procedures & instructions. - Actively involved in company and department goals. - Follow Musashi's “5S” principles, quality, environmental, and health & safety systems. - Interact with all Musashi working peers in a respectful and pleasant manner. **Responsibilities**: **Safety**: - Follow-up on workplace incident reporting and concerns. - File WSIB Form 7. - Liaison with third-party claims management services, Ministry of Labour, and Worker Compensation Board programs, policies and procedures and correspondence. - Administer and coordinate return-to-work plans and conduct thorough follow-ups to ensure compliance. - Lead and coordinate JHSC meetings and activities. - Update the safety business plan. Training - Coordinate all training for new hires and current associates in accordance with Musashi's training matrix. - Deliver onboarding training for new hires. - Run training reports and follow up on training gaps with departments to meet compliance. - Update training material and training matrix annually and on an as needed basis and within the document control management system. - Update human resources business plan. **Personal Skills**: - Multitasking skills. - Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and time management skills. - Good work ethic. - Excellent interpersonal communication skills. - Motivates and works well with others to complete the necessary tasks. **Please note**: This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the associate for this job.
