**Job Overview**

**Duties**
- Assist in the preparation of meals, including chopping, slicing, and cooking ingredients as directed by the head cook or chef.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food is handled and stored correctly to prevent contamination.
- Help with inventory management by restocking supplies and notifying management of low stock levels.
- Support the kitchen staff during busy service times by preparing ingredients and assisting with plating dishes.
- Participate in regular cleaning tasks to maintain a hygienic kitchen environment.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in food preparation or kitchen assistance is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques is essential.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
- A passion for cooking and eagerness to learn about various aspects of meal preparation in a restaurant setting.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Preferably West African or Nigeria Descent.
