In this role, you will**: Adjudication of Loans and Leases: - Make informed approval/decline decisions based on Retail Loan Policy. - Collaborate with ACE Exception Lenders for final decisions on exception credits. - Foster a smooth re-approval process by maintaining strong relationships with Operations unit staff. We’d love to work with you if you have**: - Extensive knowledge of retail lending indirect products and other retail offerings - Proven ability to make sound credit decisions with confidence - Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills - Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities - Proficiency with the Bank’s ALS COM/ALP Retail Loan/Lease adjudication system (considered an asset) - Ability to use various computer programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams; Intralink; and BNS commercial software (considered an asset) - Working Conditions_ - The Retail Lending Officer executes their duties in a hybrid work environment Hours of operation are Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 11:00pm, Fridays 7:30am - 9:00pm, Saturdays 8:00am - 8:30pm, and Sundays 10:30am - 7:00pm - you will be scheduled within these times. - Comfortable working in target-based environment - Comfortable managing client relationships to meet tight deadlines Location(s): Canada : British Columbia : Burnaby Scotiabank is a leading bank in the Americas.
