Join Our Team as Assistant Maintenance Manager
Help lead the charge in keeping our property in top shape—inside and out. We’re looking for a hands-on Assistant Maintenance Manager to support the Maintenance Manager with daily operations and improvement projects across guest rooms, common areas, and grounds.
**What You’ll Be Doing**:
- Support departmental planning, budgeting, and project tracking.
- Ensure safe work practices and maintain health & safety compliance (WCB, WHMIS).
- Lead and motivate the maintenance team with strong communication and a positive example.
- Respond to maintenance issues quickly to enhance guest experience.
- Oversee and assist with projects for guest rooms and public spaces.
- Help manage scheduling and payroll for the maintenance department.
- Perform general and preventative maintenance on systems such as HVAC, boilers, plumbing, and pools.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of all guest areas—indoors and outdoors—including snow/ice removal.
- Test and balance pool chemicals to meet health standards.
- Tackle minor repairs in electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems as needed.
**What You Bring**:
- Experience in maintenance leadership or supervision is a strong asset.
- A team-first mindset with excellent coaching and communication skills.
- Comfortable lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Great attention to detail and strong time management.
- Pool Operator certification and/or background in electrical or plumbing are bonuses.
- A practical, results-driven approach to problem-solving.
