**Overview**

**The essential functions of the Distribution Manager are**:

- Managing the personnel, facilities and equipment to optimize the warehouse operations
- Ensure operational goals and customer objectives are met by ensuring high level of service to both internal and external customers

**This position will add value to Shandex by**:

- Properly staffing and managing the Warehouse Department to maximize productivity and minimize shipping and receiving discrepancies
- Help develop and improve operational compliance by overseeing coaching and development of new and existing staff, as well as identifying process improvement
- Monitoring and streamlining all policies and procedures used within the Warehouse to ensure maximum efficiency while maintaining on-time shipping schedules.
- Acting as an internal liaison between the warehouse operations and all other departments

**Specific responsibilities include**:

- Management of day-to-day operations and all warehouse staff through direct oversight of warehouse supervisors, departmental leads and SICs
- Developing and enforcing all policies and procedures with the Warehouse Supervisors
- Setting and managing warehouse key performance metrics, and coaching Supervisor team to identify coaching solutions
- Ensure appropriate labour demand is met through training, new employee onboarding review, vacation planning and cross training
- Monitoring and completing daily administrative tasks, including attendance, coaching records, equipment safety inspections, training records, quality records
- Preparing, execution and record keeping of appropriate coaching logs and disciplinary action
- Identifying, recommending and executing safety audits and improvements in alignment with Health and Safety manager
- Overseeing the execution of the Warehouse quality program in partnership with Warehouse Quality Specialist
- Monitoring warehouse processes for compliance SOPs, Quality and regulatory standards, including CFIA standards, AIB audit compliance, vendor audits, etc.
- Respond to building security and general maintenance requirements as needed, including off hours as needed
- Facilitating the execution of quarterly and annual cycle counts
- Any other jobs or duties as required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $55,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
