**Full job description**

Do you have experience with produce, food handling, or quality inspection? Vivid Produce Inc. is hiring a **Produce Quality Control Specialist** to help ensure the _“Right Product, Right Quality.”_ This role is perfect for someone who is detail-driven, reliable, and comfortable working in a warehouse or cooler environment while assessing product quality, condition, and grade.

**Job Types**:Full-time, Permanent

**Work Location**: SE Calgary, In person

**Schedule**:Monday - Friday 7am - 5pm. Must have a flexible schedule with the ability to work weekends if needed. Possible Stat holidays may be required.

**WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING**:

- Conduct quality audits on all inbound produce orders and create detailed reporting and documentation for Warehouse Managers and the Sales Team.
- Inspect outbound product to identify potential quality issues and communicate findings proactively with the Sales Team.
- Arrange and recommend CFIA audits when inbound inspections identify defects that do not meet federal guidelines.
- Perform daily facility walks to identify aging product, quality concerns, and any risks within stored inventory.
- Participate in put-away planning with the shipping/receiving team to effectively organize cooler space for incoming commodities.
- Support coaching, training, and knowledge-sharing with warehouse employees regarding produce quality and specification requirements.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation as required.
- Contribute to additional projects or responsibilities as needed.

**WHAT YOU’LL NEED IN ORDER TO QUALIFY**:

- Fresh produce experience is required, either from a warehouse, distribution, or retail produce environment.
- Solid understanding of HACCP principles and food-safety regulatory requirements.
- A strong eye for detail and accuracy when assessing product condition and quality.
- Excellent verbal, written, and non-verbal communication skills to clearly report findings and collaborate with teams.
- Positive, adaptable team player with a professional and energetic approach to work.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and the ability to learn internal Warehouse Management Systems.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
- Strong organizational skills and adherence to company policies, processes, and food-safety standards.
