**Holiday Inn Express & Suites St. John’s Airport **is looking for a Customer Service Expert to join our Food & Beverage team. Our culture is rooted in our values, customer service excellence, leadership accountability, and the growth of our 100% locally owned & operated hotel.

The Breakfast Assistant is a key position within our company. This role will contribute to the overall success of the Hotel by providing superior customer service and attention to detail with food and beverage service for daily breakfast buffet and catered events.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provides superior customer service while replenishing breakfast food items and cleaning up tables and food stations
- Handle food in a safe and hygienic manner, following food safety guidelines
- Follows established procedures and policies when completing tasks
- Cleaning, sanitizing and tidying of all kitchen and breakfast seating areas of hotel
- Acts as an Ambassador for our hotel, including greeting guests and handling basic inquiries
- Demonstrates a customer service attitude with internal/external contacts
- Assisting with setup of morning breakfast and catered events in meeting space
- Cleaning, sanitizing and trash removal of kitchen and breakfast seating area
- Complete food preparation, making coffee and dishwashing tasks
- Assist with food inventory tasks
- Other duties as required

**Skills/Knowledge/Experience**:

- Minimum 1 year experience in similar position preferred
- Advanced communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Food Safety training (will be provided by employer if necessary)
- Able to work early hours (public transportation may not run before shift start)
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Bondable
- Exemplifies IHG’s core values and enjoys working in a culture of accountability

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $16.75 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 24 per week
