We strive to make our working environment comfortable and welcoming so that our team members feel as valued as our guests. **There's room on our team at Best Western Plus The Inn at St. Albert We are currently seeking a part-time Breakfast Attendant** The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for greeting/welcoming our guests, preparing, cooking, baking as well as cleaning kitchen, service area, sanitation and safety in the kitchen. This position with shifts beginning at 5 a.m. and typically done by 1 p.m. making it an ideal position for anyone who loves mornings and would like to still be able to enjoy a flexible schedule with afternoons off. **DUTIES & FUNCTIONS include but are not limited to**: - Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner. - Adhere to standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform, hair net, and name tag when working (per brand standards). - Comply with certification requirements as applicable to position to include Food Handlers, Safety, etc. Follows hotel, brand, and provincial guidelines on food prep, storage, sanitation, and other items the inspector gives to the hotel. - Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times. - Have thorough knowledge of menus and the preparation required according to hotel standards. - Complete necessary food and station preparations prior to the opening of breakfast in order to ensure that guests are served promptly and efficiently. - Prepares foods such as eggs, sausage, bacon, waffle batter, etc. Stocks coffee, juice, and milk machines or dispensers. - Prepare meeting rooms, as required, following specifications of Event Orders. - Be able to operate and maintain cleanliness of all kitchen equipment. - Clears and cleans tables as they are vacated. Wipes up spills. Removes trash. Washes serving equipment/dishes. - Returns reusable food supplies to storage with proper dates on product. - Takes inventory of food, beverages, and supplies needed for each day. - Orders or purchases food supplies. - Maintain a "Clean As You Go" policy. - Assist in storage and rotation of food items according to hotel procedures. **QUALIFICATIONS**: - Experience in the service industry an asset, but we will train the right individual - Stable Work History - High level of care, enthusiasm, and energy - Creative, detail oriented, independent team player - **This position requires working weekends** We thank all applicants for their interest, however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted. **At this time, we are unable to hire anyone who is not a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada.** **Job Type**: Part-time Pay: From $15.50 per hour Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Every Weekend - Holidays - Morning shift - On call Application question(s): - Are you available to start work at 5 a.m.? - Are you available to work weekends? **Experience**: - Hospitality: 1 year (preferred) Work Location: In person
