We work extensively within the insurance industry, completing projects that range from structural repairs to homes damaged by tree impacts, to full truss replacements after house fires, as well as complete home renovations and remodels in the private sector.

We are seeking a **Lead Carpenter** with strong leadership skills and technical knowledge to work onsite with crews and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

**Key Details**:

- **Worksites**: Projects are located throughout the **Lower Mainland** (Burnaby, Vancouver, North Vancouver, Coquitlam, Langley, Surrey, Abbotsford, and surrounding areas). **Reliable transportation is required.**:

- **Position Type**: Full-time, permanent
- **Schedule**: Monday-Friday (occasional weekends depending on project timelines)
- **Compensation**: Competitive wages based on experience, contract work available. Trucks/vans are bonuses
- **Crew sizes**:Range from 2-5 workers

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead a crew of carpenters and/or labourers on-site
- Coordinate with site supervisors, engineers, and project managers to ensure tasks meet specifications and schedules
- Perform advanced carpentry tasks (structural framing, rot repair, concrete forming, siding and other exterior finishes, beam replacements, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with BC Building Code, site safety standards, and quality control requirements
- Plan daily work activities, delegate tasks, and problem-solve on-site issues
- Communicate effectively with clients and management when required

**Requirements**:

- **4+ years of carpentry experience**, with at least **1 year** in a lead or supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of framing, structural repairs, BCBC requirements, concrete etc.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle (jobsite travel required, truck/van is a bonus)
- Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings, architectural plans and specifications
- Proven ability to lead a crew and maintain productivity and quality standards
- Strong organizational and communication skills
