Job Title**:Fleet Supervisor Light Duty**.

**Position Summary**:This role will oversee the Light Duty fleet trucks. This role is crucial for ensuring all Estimated Time of Arrivals (ETAs) are met for Metro, Police, and Light Duty calls. The Fleet Supervisor will conduct investigations and report any deviations or delegation of calls to other companies to the Founder. This role requires close collaboration with various departments to address concerns and maintain fleet integrity

**Primary Roles & Responsibilities**

Reporting Directly to the Founder of the company & the Director of Business Development.

Oversee the Light Duty fleet of trucks.

Ensure that all ETAs are met for Metro, Police, and Light Duty calls.

Investigate and share a report with the Founder if ETAs are not met or if calls are delegated to other companies.

Collaborate closely with the Director of Operations, Front Office Manager, and General Manager to address concerns involving dispatchers and sub-contractors, identifying the root cause of issues.

Follow the Feedback and Investigation process as stated in the employee handbook, conduct full investigations into incidents, and share reports with the Founder before implementing decisions.

Work with the General Manager regarding fleet management.

Ensure all trucks on the road are fully equipped and meet safety and legal requirements, maintaining truck sign-out forms.

Train new sub-contractors, ensuring they understand the safety procedures for hooking up and towing vehicles accurately.

Conduct and grade road tests for sub-contractors in training.

Take disciplinary actions or terminate sub-contractors after conducting a full investigation into incidents, sharing reports with the Founder to keep him informed.

Collaborate with the General Manager and the Founder to assign new trucks to sub-contractors or change their current trucks as needed.

Manage the parking of all vehicles in their designated spots, ensuring order and accessibility. Ensure the same information is being accurately displayed on our system.

Work in collaboration with the Director of Operations and relocate vehicles from the lot to designated spots in preparation for auctions.

Maintain proper vehicle arrangement in designated rows, re-arranging as instructed by the Director of Operations and the Fleet Manager and update our system accordingly.

Collaborate with the Director of Operations and the fleet manager to transport vehicles to scrapping locations efficiently. By assisting in towing vehicles to the scrap yard when the impound lot reaches capacity, managing space efficiently.

Work with the Fleet Manager and DOP to prepare cars for donation to the fire department by draining fluids as necessary.

Retrieve truck repair parts following instructions from the fleet manager, ensuring maintenance needs are met based on the company's vehicle repair schedule.

Monitor compliance with road safety and towing procedures, reporting any deviations to management and the fleet manager by any driver.

Assist the fleet manager in conducting road tests with drivers, ensuring competency and compliance.

Assist the drivers with repairs for their trucks.

Undertake repairs on truck equipment, ensuring functional and operational integrity.

Shuttle trucks to and from service locations for repairs and preventive maintenance, ensuring vehicle reliability.

Ensure all vehicles are prepared and operational under all weather conditions, enhancing reliability and safety.

Perform regular maintenance checks on all equipment and vehicles to confirm adherence to road safety standards, reporting any issues.

Perform any other tasks as assigned.

**Required Education/Training**

Leadership and management skills.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Proficient in using relevant software and tools for reporting and fleet management.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions

Proven experience in fleet management and oversight.

Strong investigative and reporting skills.

Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Ability to train and mentor new hires and sub-contractors.

Knowledge of safety and legal requirements for fleet management.

Experience in handling disciplinary actions and conducting thorough investigations.

**Evaluation Process**

Employment at JP Towing Service & Storage Ltd is based on passing the following conditions:

- Pass a Police Record Check.
- Reference Checks.
- Eligibility to work In Canada.
- Have a Valid Tow Certificate.
- Complete necessary Training as required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $70,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Work Location: In person
