Weston Frontlines Centre is a dynamic community-based organization dedicated to empowering children and youth through meaningful programs, mentorship, and skills development. We are looking for a **Program Activity Lead**who is passionate about engaging and inspiring young people to reach their full potential.

**Position Summary**

The Program Activity Lead will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and leading interactive and educational programs for children and youth. This role involves developing fun, engaging, and impactful activities, fostering a safe and inclusive environment, and supporting participants in their personal and social growth. As the Program Activity Lead, you will take on a central role that supports Frontlines’ goal of supporting children and youth ages 6-17.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Create and facilitate engaging activities for children and youth, including arts, sports, leadership, and life skills workshops. You will be responsible for programming throughout the year including but not limited to, March Break, Summer Day Camps, Winter Camp, and PA days.
  • Motivate and inspire young participants to take part in programs and try new experiences.
  • Provide guidance, supervision, and mentorship to help children and youth build confidence, social skills, and self-esteem.
  • Plan special events, outings, and guest speaker sessions to enhance program experiences.
  • Ensure a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where all children and youth feel respected and supported.
  • Work closely with the Frontlines team to deliver high-quality programming.
  • Track attendance and participant engagement, providing reports as needed. Support with coordination of data collection for reporting and evaluation purposes
  • Keep families informed about program activities and participant progress.
  • Attend meetings, training, and planning sessions to enhance program delivery.
  • Assist with creating program content, organizing program materials, and setting up and cleaning up spaces before and after activities.
  • Ensure supplies and equipment are well-maintained and ready for use.
  • Attend and complete online and in-person training and meetings
  • Other duties as assigned.

**Employment Requirements**

  • Experience working with children and youth in a community, school, or recreational setting (minimum 2-3 years experience preferred).
  • Strong ability to connect with and engage young people in a positive and supportive manner.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to plan and lead activities that are fun, educational, and developmentally appropriate.
  • Knowledge of youth development principles and experience working with diverse communities.
  • Creative and adaptable approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience in facilitating group discussions and workshops.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • A university degree or diploma in Child & Youth Work, Education, Social Services, Recreation, or a related field is preferred.

**Working Conditions**

  • Flexibility with hours based on program needs.
  • Typical hours are Monday to Friday, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, weekends as needed.

**Conditions of Employment**

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 25 per week
