**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Manager, Program Review and Renewal, the professor will work in Program Quality to support the comprehensive review of programs, with a specific focus on degree credentials. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting academic teams with the review and analysis of data, curricular review and renewal, the composition of the summative review and consent documents (internal and/or external PEQAB/CVS), program modifications, Recommended Action Plan (RAP) development, and support for PEQAB site visits. The incumbent will facilitate quality assurance processes, activities, and projects with faculty, chairs, senior administration, and external quality assurance bodies through face-to-face and online meetings. In addition, as a full-time faculty member, the incumbent will be expected to teach courses occasionally.

**Responsibilities**:
Under the direction of the Manager, Program Review and Renewal, the faculty member is responsible for:
**Quality Assurance**
- Advance best practices in program quality and assist faculty in the quality assurance of programs, with focus on degrees.
- Remain current and relevant in quality assurance requirements and standards (internal and external), curricular design and development, equity, diversity and inclusion, Truth and Reconciliation, sustainability, pedagogical approaches, and program delivery to enhance teaching and learning and program health and innovation.
- Deliver workshops to faculty, chairs, and staff to facilitate program review and renewal, curricular renewal, modifications, and curricular integration.
- Develop resources and templates to support faculty, chairs, and staff with program review and renewal.
- Support annual review of Seneca’s quality assurance processes.
- Work in partnership with Program Quality staff to support departmental processes and activities.

**Program Modifications**:

- Guide the review team through program modifications (minor and major) (e.g., curricular changes, program title changes, admissions, pathways etc.), including internal and external submission and approval requirements, with focus on degrees.
- Provide feedback and recommend best practices to faculty and chairs, when modifying courses and programs.

**Program Review and Renewal**
- Lead the comprehensive review of programs to promote program quality, currency, relevancy, health and innovation, in alignment with external quality assurance body requirements and standards, with focus on degrees.
- Lead the review of program curriculum, including program learning outcomes, course learning outcomes, curricular mapping, curricular integration, assessments, and program delivery.
- Liaise with Seneca stakeholders (i.e. Registrar’s Office, C-IDEA, Office of Reconciliation and Inclusion, Sustainability Office, Marketing) to support academic programs with consultations required for the review and renewal of their programs.
- Guide faculty and chairs in the engagement of Program Advisory Committees (PACs), industry partners, and students to inform program review and renewal.
- Prepare internal and external summative review and consent documents (i.e. PEQAB, CVS, Ministry) to support submissions and approvals.
- Support academic program teams in the development of the RAP, guided by data, to promote evidence-informed decision making that enhances program quality, student success and graduate outcomes.
- Facilitate PEQAB site visits required for the consent process.

**Academic Leadership**
- Lead additional projects related to academic program quality assurance.
- Provide guidance to faculty and chairs on issues related to academic program quality, review, and renewal.

**Teaching**
- Occasional teaching required; carrying out regularly scheduled instruction may include tutoring and academic counselling of students.
- Evaluating student progress/achievement and assuming responsibility for the overall assessment of the student's work within assigned courses.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**
- Minimum completed Masters in Education, Adult Education, Curriculum or related field. If in a related field, please state how the field is relevant.

**Experience**
- Minimum two (2) years experience leading program quality processes and activities, including advisement on program quality, program review and renewal and program development, and experience working with provincial quality assurance bodies (i.e. PEQAB, CVS, Ministry), especially at degree level.
