WillowLabs is a licensed producer focused on delivering quality cannabis products to the Canadian and international cannabis markets. Our facility is designed for small batch craft production which allows us to cultivate a larger variety of genetics with more attention to each cultivar. Beyond cultivation we process flower packaging, pre-rolls, extracts and vape cartridges. Our management team is mostly legacy cultivators, extractors and connoisseurs who are passionate and serious about cannabis production.
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cultivation Technicians to join our team. Reporting to the cultivation manager and master growers, the cultivation technician will monitor plant health, implement cultivation techniques, maintain a clean workspace, and ensure compliance with regulations. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to producing high-quality cannabis products.
**Responsibilities**:
- Execute daily cultivation tasks, including but not limited to propagation, tank mixing, pruning, and harvesting cannabis plants
- Monitor plant health and identify signs of pests, diseases, or nutrient deficiencies.
- Implement integrated pest management (IPM) strategies to prevent and control pests and diseases
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the cultivation facility, including sanitizing equipment and workspaces
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all cultivation activities to ensure consistency and quality
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve production goals and maintain a positive work environment
- Ensure compliance with Health Canada regulations
**Requirements**:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in horticulture, agriculture, or related field preferred but not required)
- Prior experience in cannabis cultivation or a similar field preferred
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to pass a background check and obtain any required cannabis industry certifications or licenses
**Work Conditions**:
- Exposure to hot and humid environments regularly

**Salary**: From $21.35 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
