The Claims Center of Excellence department plays a crucial role with our clients, members, sponsors, and advisors. We provide the financial help and support when they most need it through the claims process. We are looking for a motivated individuals who are eager to hold a position as Life Events Representative.

As a Life Events Representative you will be responsible for managing the entire death claim process from initial notification through to final settlement. This role requires strong analytical skills, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to handle sensitive situations with compassion and professionalism. You will gain experience working on a diverse set of tasks that will enhance your knowledge of the life claims process. The opportunity to strengthen your knowledge of GRS products and develop your competencies skills through hands-on experience. You will interact with our internal and external partners including work group Managers, Finance, consultants, beneficiaries and third parties.

**What will you do?**
- Provide excellent customer service to plan sponsors, members, advisors, and internal partners when handling inquiries and claims. Customer service is a top priority.
- Process death claims within the guaranteed retirement services portfolio, ensuring timely and accurate payment to beneficiaries.
- Work collaboratively with various internal departments to process claims and inquiries in a timely manner. Partnering across teams seems important for effective handling of cases.
- Manage claims workload and ensure claims are processed efficiently to meet service level agreements. Timeliness and quality of work are important performance metrics.
- Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams to resolve issues and ensure customer needs are met. Effective communication and coordination will be crucial.
- May need to gather additional documentation from customers or verify details to complete claims processing. Attention to detail and follow up will be important.
- Keep updated on policies and guidelines to address customer queries accurately. Continual learning is implied.
- Uphold the highest standards of customer service and maintain positive relationships with customers and coworkers. Service excellence is a top priority for this role.

In summary, the key focus areas will be providing excellent customer service, timely claims processing, internal collaboration, and upholding compliance and service level expectations.

You will be require in office 2 days a week.

**What do you need to succeed?**
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Insurance, or a related field.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex processes in a clear and compassionate manner.
- Proficiency in MS office
