**Job Summary**

To refinish the vehicle as quickly as possible in a safe and high-quality manner, with a fit and finish that meets or exceeds the original factory fit and finish. The result must be an invisible repair.

**What you offer**

**Job Duties**:

- To inspect every vehicle as it enters the paint shop from the metal department to ensure that it has passed all previous inspections and standards.
- Immediately notify the appropriate person of any hidden or missed damage that doesn't appear on the Work Order.
- Be responsible and accountable for all parts for any jobs that are assigned to you. Be organized and develop a system for holding the parts until they are installed on the vehicle.
- Be certain that every job is checked for colour match prior to the vehicle entering the spray booth. Each mixing and matching process must include spraying out a test panel when required.
- Conduct any buffing necessary for your own paintwork. This is intended to make each painter responsible for the efforts involved in the preparation and cleaning of jobs prior to painting. This also includes the work performed by others involved in the preparation, like apprentices and helpers.
- Ensure that all spray operations are complete, all masking is removed, and all prior paint-related disassembly has been reassembled prior to returning the vehicle to the metal shop or detail shop for final assembly and get-ready.
- You must remain conscious of, and make every effort to achieve, the objectives outlined on the delivery list of cars scheduled. Sometimes this requires working overtime to meet the objectives.
- Any issues, relating to the quality of work, job schedule, inability to complete the work, or other related concerns, please bring to the attention of the Tower Controller, so that this person can adjust, advise or re-schedule as they see necessary

- Upon completion of a job or nearing completion of a job, advise the Control Tower Operator and request a new assignment.
- Maintain a good work attitude and cooperate with the managers and fellow employees in the positive spirit of teamwork.

**Education and Qualification**
- Valid Driver’s Licence and acceptable Driver’s Abstract
- Clean driving record, and reporting to management any circumstances regarding the status of this license
- Continuing education/training provided by the industry and/or Toyota Canada to keep up to date in repair methods
- WHMIS training

**Experience**
- Previous Prep and Paint work-experience required

**Language**
- Fluent in English, oral and written
- Bilingualism, an asset

**Skills & Abilities**
- Effective communication skills to deal with Estimators, Managers, Parts personnel, customers, and other dealership staff on a regular basis
