Line Cook The KR Morgan Food Group Inc. is seeking to fill its Line Cook Position. We are primarily looking for someone who understands and is thoroughly familiar with Jamaican Cuisine. Previous experience in preparing Jamaican cuisine is Mandatory The KR Morgan Food Group Inc. is a full-service Jamaican Canadian Catering and Food Delivery company based out of Downtown Toronto. With a robust team of professional planners, chefs and service staff, our team works collaboratively to ensure that every unique requirement of the customers is met. This aligns with our vision of serving the finest food and creating an environment where moments are shared and relationships flourish. Key Responsibilities: - Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies - Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces) - Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff - Answer, report and follow the Head Chef’s instructions - Clean up the station and take care of leftover food - Stock inventory appropriately - Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, of high quality and in a timely fashion - Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards - Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers - Other Duties as assigned by management Qualification - Proven experience as a Line Cook - Exceptional proven ability in Jamaican Cuisine - Leadership skills - Up to date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes - Good understanding of useful computer programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS) Why you should work for us: - Great learning & growth opportunity - Great culture & working environment - Competitive wages Location: Food Truck Locations Work Hours: 7:00 am to 7:00 pm (shift basis) 8 Hours a day - 7 days a week Anticipated Start Date: July 2025 **Job Type**: Full-Time contract until June 30, 2026, with a possibility of extension Work Location: 401 Bay Street, Unit 1639, Toronto, Ontario M5H 2Y4 Schedule: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday (35 hours per week) Hourly Wage: $21.00 per hour Start Rate Job Rate: After probation The KR Morgan Food Group Inc. is committed to employment equity initiatives.
