**THE ROLE**
Our CANEX Labelle Retail store is currently seeking motivated and passionate professionals with experience in sales and customer service to fill the Home and Electronics Sales Associate position for our store in Ottawa East.

If you are an enthusiastic and energetic individual with experience in understanding retail operational concepts such as maintaining store standards, cash handling, and merchandise presentation, this is the opportunity for you

**QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED** Education, Certifications and Licenses**

High school diploma

Some years of experience in retail

**Experience**
- In electronics, computers equipment, furniture and appliances
- In selling extended warranty and accessories
- In cash handling
- In sales and merchandising

**Knowledge**
- Of retail store operations
- Of loss prevention
- Of health and safety practices
- Of Point of Sale (POS) systems
- Of Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)

**Competencies, Skills and Abilities**

Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.

**LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS**
Bilingual Essential

Reading: Basic

Writing: Basic

Oral: Functional

**OTHER INFORMATION**
Perform moderate lifting, carrying, pulling and/or pushing (i.e. more than 10 lbs/4.5 kg but less than 50 lbs/23 kg).

Open availability to work a variety of shifts based on business needs, including weekdays, weekends and holidays.

Location is close to Cyrville Station - OC Transpo; Free Parking available

CANEX operates 36 retail, convenience and grocery stores located on Bases, Wings and Units across Canada with two retail stores in Europe under the NATEX brand. CANEX provides mess kits and specialized tactical gear to support military members and ensures that families have access to consumer goods and services in the community they are posted.
