**Recreation Co-op Student**

This position will work from Abbotsford & Matsqui Recreation Centres located in Abbotsford, BC.

**What you will do**:

- Assist the Community Recreation Coordinator and Programmers with all aspects of community recreation program support and administrative tasks
- Assist with summer day camp programs,
- Assist with Recreation special events
- Assist with seasonal program offerings.

**Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience**:

- Enrolled in a Recreation / Leisure Services program is preferred, or related discipline, at a post
- secondary institution
- Ability to teach sport and recreation skills and manage large groups of children
- Demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills
- Able to provide a current police information check
- Ability to work flexible work hours, including evenings and weekends
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence; Driver’s Abstract will be required when applying
