**Key Responsibilities**
- Engagement Management _
- Lead compilation engagements across a portfolio of clients, particularly in high-growth industries including crypto and technology.
- Lead and/or prepare tax engagements - corporate (T2), Personal (T1), Trust (T3), HST returns and liase with CRA on CRA audit matters.
- Supervise and review work performed by staff; provide coaching and technical guidance throughout the engagement lifecycle.
- Execute compilations in accordance with CAS and applicable standards such ASPE as applicable.
- Manage deadlines, budgets, and staff allocations across multiple concurrent engagements.
- Client Service & Technical Expertise _
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client communication and resolution of technical issues.
- Provide practical, solutions-oriented advice to owner-managed business and personal clients
- Review and finalize engagement files, working papers, and financial statements, ensuring compliance with firm standards and quality management system.
- People Leadership _
- Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work culture.
- Deliver real-time feedback and support the professional growth of team members through formal and informal coaching.
- Firm Growth & Innovation _
- Direct mentorship with Partners.
- Participate in internal training initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
- Help identify business development opportunities through excellent client service.

**Qualifications**:

- Canadian CPA designation (mandatory)
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a Canadian public accounting firm (mandatory)
- Strong technical understanding of ASPE, CAS (mandatory) and US GAAP/ IFRS
- Previous experience with Canadian corporate taxes
- Proficient with CaseWare, TaxPrep iFirm, and advanced Excel
- Commitment to exceptional client service, integrity, and continuous learning
- Ability to influence teams and clients positively, leading by example
- Ability to establish and maintain strong client and team relationships
- Strong project management skills and organization
- Ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously
- Ability to recognize accounting and tax issues and work with the team to resolve any issues that arise
- Strong attention to detail and ability to solve problems
- Ability to perform technical research and reach, evaluate and document conclusions
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
