New Model Launch Specialist

** - Position**
Responsible for the successful completion of new model launch activities.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
- Ensure compliance to customer specific requirements and requests.
- Key liaison with customer for planning new model events and milestones.
- Lead and facilitate meetings for new model events, track and report progress to management.
- Lead and facilitate customer NM meetings, audits and support associated activities.
- Lead the new model team required activities to achieve the defined launch goals and objectives.
- Coordinate supplier QAV and verification of supplier quality systems.
- Coordinate new model parts inspection and verification (including defining the inspection and verification criteria and frequency).
- Liaise with customer/supplier and R&D on drawings concerns/questions/discrepancies and work to resolve all discrepancies.
- Manage the engineering change process.
- Other duties as assigned in order to meet business objectives
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a project management / new model / quality role
- Previous experience in new model launch
- Must have the ability to interpret drawings
- Core quality tools (ISO/IATF requirements, FMEA, Control Plan, APQP, PPAP)
- Experience within automotive or manufacturing sector
- Ability to travel (both locally and out of country)
**QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION**
- University, College Degree or Diploma in engineering
- CQE an asset
- PEng, or other designation

**WORKING CONDITIONS**
- Daily activities are centered in an office setting/manufacturing setting and comply with all personal protective equipment requirements.
- Structured shifts that may be fixed or rotational in nature, utilizing a punch clock system.
