**Position Information**

Provides financial and accounting expertise and support to the organization and its decision-making processes. Assumes key responsibilities for the analysis of financial issues.

**Job Specifications**
- Analyse and reconcile key financial issues.
- Prepares monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Prepares monthly physician payments.
- Performs year-end adjustments, accruals, deferrals, and reallocation of general

ledger balances as required in support of operating accounts.
- Assist departments with monthly operating account analysis.
- Assist with the preparation of the operating and capital budget
- Assists with the preparation of external financial reports (i.e. MIS trial balance

submission, SRI, HAPS)
- Assists with accounts payable functions (payment registers, approval paths,

vendor reconciliations)
- Updates the general ledger for both month-end and year-end closing pertaining

to all financial sub-systems
- Other ad hoc duties as assigned

**Skills and Abilities**

**Essential**:

- 3+ years of working experience in accounting/finance.
- Ability to balance multiple work demands to achieve deadlines and reporting requirements.
- Ability to take initiative and act independently using good judgement as well as accept direction.
- Demonstrated experience in variance analysis and account reconciliations.
- Demonstrated proficiency in a variety of software packages (i.e. Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Undergraduate degree in accounting/business program
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation, or actively pursuing designation

**Nonessential**:

- Experience using Infor (Cloud Suite Financials)
- Healthcare experience

**Salary**: $36.21-$42.61 per year
