The Accountant III role will help lead the transformation and optimization of processes and procedures across departments to implement best practice initiatives. This role will need to have a basic understanding of US GAAP. The position will include working on several areas of corporate accounting and business unit finance support. They will be responsible for tasks ranging from journal entries to analysis during the monthly general ledger close and responsible for preparations of reconciliations as well. Additionally, this position will interact monthly with the Financial Controls & Analysis team related to analysis of the financial numbers and provide explanations to the team and management.

What We Need & What You'll Do (Responsibilities):

- Process payroll accounting and payroll related reconciliations and journal entries.
- Review, analyze and prepare monthly journal entries for month end close related to general corporate accounting processes.
- Balance sheet and income statement fluctuations and provide explanations for any significant or unusual changes in balances.
- Coordinate across cross-functional departments within the company to aide in analysis, research, adherence to GAAP accounting standards and compliance with SOX internal controls.
- Researches, compiles and analyzes data related to special projects.
- Bi-Weekly payroll journal entries and reporting.
- Monthly, quarterly and annual reporting requirements for head office.
- Ensure SOX controls have been identified, evidenced, and documented for processes.
- Monitor and review processes and reports to ensure accuracy of the financial statements and compliance with SOX controls; Specifically, preparation and review of temp help and subcontractor monthly review.

Who You Are (Qualifications):

- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 7 years experience in related field.
- Diverse accounting experience including a practical understanding of financial statements, accounting principles with a good understanding of US GAAP, month end close and audit cycle, and account reconciliations. Payroll accounting a must.
- US GAAP; Above average computer skills and information systems proficiency. Excellent Excel skills are required to include Pivot tables, V-lookups, formulas and functions.
- Oracle Cloud experience preferred, or other ERP software systems.
- Ability to meet high deadline demands with accurate and timely information.
- Establish and strengthen relationships across organizational boundaries.
- Analyze and interpret financial data.
- Must be highly detail oriented, highly accurate, and a strong communicator.
