Alavida Lifestyles is looking for a **Concierge/Maintenance Manager **for our retirement residence located in **Orleans, ON**. Reporting to the General Manager, the Concierge/Maintenance Manager is responsible for environmental operations that include housekeeping, laundry, janitorial, environmental and maintenance services, as well as health and safety concerns.
- **RESPONSIBILITIES**_
- Responsible for the implementation and documentation of preventative maintenance programs for building management systems, such as electrical, mechanical, fire and safety, and HVAC
- Hire, manage, supervise and direct the scheduling and activities of housekeeping, laundry, maintenance and janitorial staff
- Works with all other departments to ensure the property is clean (ie. walk the halls daily to ensure cleanliness, odour free, overall maintenance)
- Responsible for Resident suite turnover in a timely fashion
- Lead workplace health and safety committee initiatives and contributes to corporate and legislative policies related to health and safety as required
- Performs other duties as requested
- **QUALIFICATIONS**_
- Previous experience working in a maintenance role in a retirement committee, apartment/residences, or hospitality setting
- Demonstrable previous experience performing minor and routine repairs
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently to maintain Resident suites and common areas
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Must have a passion for working with seniors
